The dreamer of Tenerife<\/p><\/div>\n

There are lot of beautiful places in the world for dreaming under the starry night sky. One of it is surely the National Park Teide<\/a> on Tenerife, Canary Island. And that’s the place I captured this calm moment with a dreamer lying on the ground, watching the Milky way as a smoke coming from the volcano Teide. During this time the strong calima<\/a> (Sahara sand in the air) surrounded the island producing bad conditions to watch the natural dark sky. That’s why the sky has orange hue. Used Canon 6D IR Mod, Sigma 15 mm, f3,5, ISO 10000, 20 s, tripod. Captured on 22th October 2014.<\/p>\n

Later in the same night we moved right in the heart of the National Park Teide to watch the skies among so beautiful monuments. The effect of calima was still strong, but I could enjoy the sky anyway. At least in zenith, where was easily visible Gegenshein and also weaker part of autumn Milky way. And here is the view. Used Canon 6D Mod, Samyang 24 mm, f2, ISO 8000, 48×10 s panorama, tripod.<\/p>\n

Teide, Galaxy and Sahara sand<\/p><\/div>\n

The calima was even stronger next days, so the view into the center of the Milky way had been heavily disturbed. Finally almost last night before leaving Tenerife, it started to fade out and disappear. All photographs still showed yellow hue above the horizon, but I didn’t have time for waiting. So I took lot of datas to process the last image, showing volcano Teide surrounded by Sahara sand, but also the center of Milky way with planet Mars in it.
