\"Galaxies<\/a>

Galaxies of the South Pole<\/p><\/div>The surrounding of the celestial south pole is truly impressive. The Milky Way, our Galaxy, is full of sky gems, such as the Southern Cross (the Crux<\/a>) constellation, the Coalsack Nebula<\/a>, the Carina Nebula<\/a>. Two satellite galaxies of our Milky Way, the Magellanic Clouds<\/a>, are full HII regions and also regions of stars pulled off gravitationally<\/a> in one or more collisions among the galaxies. Also, Galactic Cirrus<\/a> can be seen in the center of the image, surrounding the celestial south pole as well. Captured from Pucon, Chile, with my friend Josef Kujal. Used Canon 6D modified, Sigma 50mm, f2.5, ISO 3200, panorama of 4 segments, each 13×1 minute.<\/p>\n
