The Galaxy we see just over the domes as the majestic Milky Way. In the sky, also the Earth&#8217;s atmosphere could take some attention as it is covered by complicatedly structured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atoptics.co.uk\/highsky\/airglow2.htm#notes\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">reddish airglow<\/a>, caused mostly by the emission of atomic oxygen but also OH radicals somewhere between 85 and 300 kilometers above the Earth&#8217;s surface. Perfect clear and dark skies over the Chilean <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atacama_Desert\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Atacama Desert<\/a> made this phenomenon visible even to the naked eyes.
