But they are wrong. Especially when you get in place with a naturally dark sky, far away from harmful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.darksky.org\/light-pollution\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">light pollution<\/a>. Such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atacama_Desert\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atacama Desert<\/a>, Chile, where the major observatories can be found. In this shot, the bright central Milky Way rises over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/teles-instr\/lasilla\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESO La Silla Observatory<\/a> with the dome of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/teles-instr\/lasilla\/danish154\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Danish 1.54m telescope<\/a> in the foreground. Very notable is the reddish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EwqWdy_ZUX8\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">airglow<\/a> of our atmosphere, easily visible even to naked eyes. On the right, both <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Magellanic_Clouds\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Magellanic Clouds<\/a> &#8220;flow&#8221; in the southern Universe.
