Lunar Eclipse over a Hazy Castle<\/p><\/div>\n

This morning, on 18 September 2024, the “Harvest” Moon partially passed through the Earth’s shadow. I decided to observe this small but well-visible partial lunar eclipse<\/a> close to UNESCO’s Spi\u0161 Castle<\/a> in eastern Slovakia. In this romantic scene, the approximately 2,5 long sequence of the Moon is moving in the sky while the eclipse progresses to the hazy foreground as during the show more fog appears. It was, actually, very tricky to finish the whole sequence as the fog was thicker and thicker during the photography, so I had to move several times around the original photography spot to make this sequence complete. And, eventually, I succeeded. Used Canon 6D, Sigma 50mm, f2.8, ISO 500; 3.2s (foreground – panorama of 2 images) and 1\/3200 (Moon sequence) from tripod.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
