The place is well known for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.istrianet.org\/istria\/astronomy\/observatories.htm\" target=\"_blank\">historical Manora Observatory<\/a>, founded in the end of 19th century by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spiridon_Gop%C4%8Devi%C4%87\" target=\"_blank\">Leo Brenner<\/a>, after who was named <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_craters_on_the_Moon\" target=\"_blank\">crater on the Moon<\/a>.
