The dawn over Mali Lo\u0161inj<\/p><\/div>Croatian island Mali Lo\u0161inj<\/a> is well known for the historical Manora Observatory<\/a>, founded by Leo Brenner<\/a> in 19th century. It is also such a beautiful place in the Adriatic sea<\/a>, where you can be experienced by diverse activities among culture, sport and – of course – time in the nature. On the south-east coast of the island, there is wonderful view to the small islands around – Kozjak, Sveti Petar and Ilovik. This is what I saw on 29th September, 2016, just after the Moon with Mercury rose<\/a> over the eastern horizon and the sky became to be bright with the ongoing dawn. In the sky, you can still see the majestic constellation of Orion, the hunter<\/a>, just beside the column of morning zodiacal light<\/a>. On the left, just above the steep path, the well known asterism<\/a> Big Dipper<\/a> is getting upward. Strong light on the horizon comes from the Ilovik <\/a>city and the bright white one close to the right edge of the image cause reflectors of far fishing boat in the deep Jadran. As a bonus, a bright meteor fell in the sky while I was photographing the scene.
