Like in this shot, taken on first day of 2017 over the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Oravsk%C3%A1_Lesn%C3%A1\" target=\"_blank\">Oravsk\u00e1 Lesn\u00e1<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Slovakia\" target=\"_blank\">Slovakia<\/a>. I took a walk in fresh snow, while the skies cleared up and the stars appeared above me. It wasn&#8217;t just about beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap170123.html\" target=\"_blank\">winter starry sky<\/a> that moment as I&#8217;d noticed there are some <a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap160322.html\" target=\"_blank\">waves of airglow<\/a> over the eastern horizon. In the same direction, bright celestial duo &#8211; planet Jupiter and star Spica &#8211; was slowly rising. Despite the <a href=\"http:\/\/darksky.org\/light-pollution\/\" target=\"_blank\">light pollution<\/a> due to after-fireworks dust I could enjoy the faint winter Milky Way as well as even fainter bridge of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zam.fme.vutbr.cz\/~druck\/Astro\/Mauna_kea_11\/0-info.htm\" target=\"_blank\">zodiacal light<\/a>. The waves of airglow made the photographic view similar as waves of an ocean moving to a sandy shore. As I wrote &#8211; the sky can be so metaphoric.
