Not exactly true! Well, if you like a metaphors, of course. On the ground, very old trough leads in the &#8220;Mars&#8221; wasteland, not so far away from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/teles-instr\/paranal-observatory\/\" target=\"_blank\">ESO Paranal Observatory<\/a>. The desert is really dry so the astronomers there have to live with very limited sources and, of course, brought supplies. The second river, however, never dries. Well, poetically. It is the sky river according to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Atacama_people\" target=\"_blank\">ancient civilisations<\/a>, today well known as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.petrhoralek.com\/?cat=1\">the Milky Way<\/a>, our starry home. In the view, you can find majestic <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Crux\" target=\"_blank\">Southern Cross<\/a> constellation (or the Crux), surrounded by deep-sky object as the dark <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coalsack_Nebula\" target=\"_blank\">Coalsack Nebula<\/a> or rose-shaped <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Carina_Nebula\" target=\"_blank\">Carina Nebula<\/a> just over the horizon. Green tint in the sky, with orange stripes, was casued by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eso.org\/public\/videos\/esocast78a\/\" target=\"_blank\">atmospheric airglow<\/a>. A weak moonlight beautifully illuminated passing clouds as well as the stony nightscape. Captured on 4th April 2016, used Canon 6D Baader IR modified, Takumar 50 mm, f2.0, ISO 8000, 27x10s panorama from tripod.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No rivers in the Atacama Desert?
