Touches of the Sun<\/p><\/div>Calm water of Se\u010d reservoir<\/a> partially reflects unusual scene of after-summer-solstice<\/a> night by very early morning of 27th June 2017. Since the night never gets dark<\/a> in the Czech republic around the solstice time, bluish tint of the scattered sunlight<\/a> in higher atmosphere comes from the northern horizon, on the left. But not just this is a touch of sun in this view. A greenish waves in the sky are caused by radiation from the sun as well. This special green airglow<\/a> is emitted by atoms of oxygen in about 100 km above ground, due to the extreme solar UV radiation. Orange light over the horizon is, however, not another touch of our star but signs harmful light pollution<\/a>. In the sky scene, the prominent part of the Milky Way apperars with numerous of hydrogen nebulae such as NGC 7000 – North America<\/a>. By daytime, the summer sun also gives breath of life to Czech flora <\/a>in the scene.
