The galactic curtain over Paranal<\/p><\/div>Over the horizon of ESO Paranal Observatory<\/a> platform, located in altitude of 2635 metres, the bright Moon 3 days after new-moon phase is close by Saturn<\/a> (left up) and Mercury<\/a> (more distant left bottom). Colors of dusk<\/a> are still prominent but the zodiacal light<\/a> visibly appears. The whole scene is horizontaly split bit by brightest part of the Milky Way<\/a>, under which it seems the day says goodbye while above that the sky is as dark as Chilean skies<\/a> are. In this cosmic curtain, you can spot many nebulae such as the Lagoon<\/a>, Cat’s Paw<\/a>, Trifid<\/a>, but also lot of dark interstellar matter<\/a>. The wonderful view appeared on 20th November 2017 and the very small person’s silhouette close by VLT<\/a>\/Antu dome is Chilean journalist Hern\u00e1n Julio<\/a>.
