The Grand Prismatic World<\/p><\/div>Even if the human eyes are not enough sensitive for the colors in night nature, it doesn’t mean the colors are faded away. In this surrealistic scene, rounded pier lies on colorful landscape of the Yellowstone National Park<\/a>, US. The vivid (in the picture mostly red-orange) colors are the result of microbial mats<\/a> around the edges of the mineral-rich water of wordly known Grand Prismatic Spring<\/a>. This beautiful natural hot spring is slightly visible on the central-right side of the scene, looking like a turquoise pool. Distant stargazer is, however, enjoying beautiful night sky full of steam but also stars. A deep azure tint of the sky, formed to broken waves, causes such a strong airglow<\/a> over the horizon, while the Milky Way<\/a> seems like a smoke in the foreground. In both worlds, the upper and bottom one, brightest object is star Arcturus<\/a> of the Bo\u00f6tes constellation<\/a>. Along the Milky Way you can also spot three bright stars, Vega-Altair-Deneb, well known as the Summer Triangle<\/a>. This unusually “prismatic” night scene was captured on 26th August 2017, using Canon 6D Baader IR modified and Samyang 24 mm (ISO 8000, f2.8, panorama of 52 single 15s exposures).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
