Green beauty between star clusters<\/p><\/div>Even if a “great comet” is not in sight for a years, there are some photogenic “beauties” in the sky. The brightest one of these days is 21P\/Giacobini-Zinner<\/a> (source of popular Draconids meteor shower<\/a>), giving us beautiful sky view in the backyard telescopes. The comet’s closest approach to Earth occured on 11th September 2018<\/a> when it was pretty easily visible in Auriga constellation with 7.5 magnitude. Moving in front of the Milky Way, there were some pretty nice moments with the comet and distant “deep sky object”. On this shot, taken over \u00dastupky, Czech Republic on 13th September 2018, you can spot it between two star clusters, the Messier 35<\/a> on right (bottom) and Messier 37<\/a> on the left top. Used Canon 6D Baader IR modified, Pentacon 135 mm, f5.6, ISO 1600, 4×210 seconds from Vixen GP-2 mount.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
