From little planet to Exoplanets<\/p><\/div>Four domes of relatively new 1m-diameter SPECULOOS telescopes<\/a> (first light observed last year) on this “little Atacama planet” try to achieve exciting discovery of new Earth-size planets around ultra-cool or brown-dwarf stars, whose planetary populations are still mostly unexplored. Only a few exoplanets have been found orbiting such stars, and even fewer lie within their parent star\u2019s habitable zone. In the foreground, the powerful lasers<\/a> of ESO Paranal Observatory ataptive optics can be seen in action, such as beautiful central part of the Milky Way, the Magellanic clouds or even faint airglow in the sky.
