How the time goes fast. Last time I photographed the Moon, it was just weeks ago during its midnight rising. Now there is a fresh new young crescent, very special one. In this lunacy there’s gonna come two eclipses: total lunar eclipse on 14th April and annular solar eclipse on 29th April visible from Antarctica. But meantime there are just opportunities to catch some innocent views like this one, which I captured on 1st April 2014 from a beach of Se\u010d reservoir. Evening of reflection literally – reflection from streetlights on the water, eartshine and solar shine on crescent Moon, sadly also the light pollution on the fog above the trees far away… Used Canon 6D, Tamron 70-300 mm @ 77 mm, f4,5, ISO 2500, 4 s.<\/p>\n

The young Moon in zodiacal light<\/p><\/div>\n

Second image shows one of the last opportunites to catch a column of spring zodiacal light from Czech republic before coming moonlited nights. This portrait of thy sky was made just couple minutes after capturing the first image. Unfortunately, the sky is very hardly defected by light pollution, so the clouds are orange. High above horizon there is planet Jupiter, in zodiacal light you can find Pleiades and Orion the hunter is left from the column of zodiacal ligh. Bright star on left from Orion is Sirius – the brightest star of night sky. Used Canon 6D, Sigma 15 mm, f3,5, ISO 8000, 25 s.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
