These symbolic pictures show how amazing is having so many hobbies, which are connectable in one. When I woke up on 9th July 2003 before 4th o'clock a.m., I already had prepaired my favorite fishing spot on the beach under our cottage. I knew I am the first there. Into my luggage I took my chronicle and on the beach I also took my telescope (0.25m dobsonian, f5, made by Jiri Drbohlav). And it was worth it. I alternately watched planet Mars (just this year it was the closest approach in late 60 thousand years), fishing rods and during it I also wrote some lines of my novella "The comet". After one carp fight I finished the observing and returned in the cottage. There I took my pike rod and caught a pike. It was beautifully spent morning...

When I celebrated my birthday on 21st July, friends of mine from Pardubice observatory came the forst time ever in my paradise to visit me. This year was maybe the most beutiful of my life. I saw them the most unique astronomical phenomena (lunar eclipse in May, transit of Mercury, solar eclipse, spectacular aurora in November and many other...). I caught the most fishes ever and also made my first year in high school. And I didn't have to worry about returning into primary school collective. Just the new world.

As I expected, with new telescope (made by Jiri Drbohlav) I couldn't stop fish and observe from the beach. Fishing and astronomy in the same time is really amazing experience. Also this casp took a bait right in time, when I was showing the to curious fishermen the Andromeda gallaxy. I couldn't believe when I saw the majestic shiny carp body illuminated by red light, whith which astronomers observe to not dazzle themself. Of course, uncomprehending fishermen used their dazzling flashlights and after that I had to adapt to the night conditions a few minutes. Awesome. But the carp under the starry sky was worth it.
