Where James Cook appeared…
Tolaga Bay is awesome place with the longest wharf in the country. Well, this place is also known for James Cook sail around. And as I stood on the beach this August 12th (2014), waiting for the moonrise, I realized this is probably the same direction where the Maori people could see James Cook coming on his ship. No more ship was there, but the moonrise was simply incredible… Used Canon 6D, Tamron 70-300 mm @ 209 mm, f5,6, 1×15 s ISO 5000 + 29×1/4 s ISO 1250, tripod.
