Harvest Moon September 2026 over Kunetic Castle
Yesterday’s Harvest Moon, on 26th June, 2026, was after a long while I chose one for beautiful composition with the famous Czech Kunetic Castle. As the Moon rose up just about 15 minutes before the sunset, the Sun illuminated the castle too. Thanks to truly clear view, the Moon was so well visible. When capturing the immersive moonrise near Srch village, I had the castle about 4 km away from me and the whole view offered dramatic composition. For the telescopic images I used Nikon Z6III, Skywatcher Flextube, 0,25m, f5, ISO800, 1/1250s, durable tripod.

Above is also sequence of the monrise captured with Canon Ra and 500mm/f5.6 telephoto lense (ISO 1600, 1/1600s). As you can see, the view was truly clear and the moonrise was easy to capture just very low over horizon even before the sunset. What a view!
