Raised from the dust

Raised from the dust

Everything on this image comes from a dust. The stars, the Milky Way, even us – we have born from stardust. This portrait of the wonderful time in the Dqae Qare farm of Botswana shows members of Safra-go.cz expedition in September 2015, while they were enjoying the night in the Kalahari desert to shorten waiting for the partial solar eclipse the very next morning. Speaking of dust, the sky was not pretty clear as the dry season of Botswana brought lot of fine sand into the air. This is what you can see as well: arc of the Milky Way doesn’t touch the dusty horizon, which splits the image for two different halves. But trust me, it is one real view… Used Canon 6D Baader IR modified, Samyang 24 mm, f2.0, ISO 10000, 21x15s panorama from tripod.
