Yesterday, on July 13, 2022, the Full Moon occurred only 9,5 hours after the moment of perigee (in distance 357 263 km from Earth), producing the angularly largest full Moon of the year. For this moment I traveled a long distance to the east of Slovakia, where I found a very exact spot to see the moonrise over a famous UNESCO heritage site, the Lubovna Castle of the 13th century. As the air was pretty clear, the Moon rose bright and offered several green flashes on its upper rim. One of them, among thin clouds, I luckily captured on the image. What a dramatic moonrise!
Cantured from Jarabina (3 km away from the Castle) on Canon Ra, MTO 1100mm/f10.5, ISO 1600, various exposures, from a tripod.
