Yesterday’s Flower Moon, on 29th June, 2026, was after a long while I chose one for beautiful composition with the famous Czech Kunetic Castle. As the Moon rose up just about 20 minutes after the sunset, the “blue hour” made the sky bright blue and the castle too. When capturing the immersive moonrise near Sedlice village, I had the castle about 11 km away from me and the whole view offered dramatic composition when using a 1.4m telephoto lense. The Moon rose red and wooly with green rim due to the optical inhomogeneity of our atmosphere after wild stormy weather.
Used Nikon Z6III, 1400mm telephoto lense, f10, ISO3200, 1/15s, durable tripod.
