Several days a year, the Sun can be captured while setting over Lichnice Castle from Seč city, Czech Republic. This year, I was lucky with large sunspot too.

On 25 June 2026, I was lucky to capture the sunset over Lichnice Castle despite not perfect circumstance. In the distance, some clouds blocked the view and the air was dustty. However, the contrast was good enough to reveal the appearing large sunspot AR 4478. Used Nikon Z6III, 1400mm, f10, ISO 500, 1/80s exposure.

On 26 June 2026, I made it happen to capture the perfect sunset directly over the Milada tower of the Lichnice Castle. The sky was dusty, so the sunset was not bright. However, the contrast was high enough to reveal the growing (and already large) sunspot AR 4478. It seems to be larger than 12 Earths in one row, easily visible with the naked eyes through a sophisticated filter. Used Nikon Z6III, 1400mm, f10, ISO 1250, 1/200s exposure.
