Venus and Jupiter Conjunction 2026 over Seč Lake

The weather over Central Europe was bad, so the closest conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on 9 June 2026 was not possible. I was, however, lucky just 2 days before, on 7 June 2026, when the beautiful pair appeared over the calm Seč Lake, Czech Republic, along with Castor and Pollux stars. Using Nikon Z6III and Nikkor 50mm, f1.4 (ISO 1600, 1,3s exposure), I made an “astroselfie” with the beautiful and memorable view.

… and one more lucky evening with clear skies occured on 11 June 2026. The closest conjunction was over, but the view was still magical. I took several shotws from the Seč Lake again. Low temperature and fog above the lake made the view very atmospheric. Using the same equipment and settings (only different exposures), I captured nice reflections of the clestial show, including the faint planet Mercury (image above and images below).

19 June 2026
The full planetary parade continued also on 19 June, 2026, when Merury and the Moon lined up with Venus and Jupiter. I was on the shore of the Seč Lake again to make this captured. Water was calm, view absolutely perfect, what more to wish? Using Nikon Z6III and Nikkor 50mm, f1.4 (ISO 250, panorama of 1/8s exposures).
